Some dogs are born lucky.
Hali Coo was one of them.
For three years, he had everything a dog could ever want. A house in Los Angeles with a backyard. Sunday morning drives with the windows down. A family that let him sleep on the couch, fed him on schedule, and said his name like it meant something.
He didn’t know what “moving” meant.
He still doesn’t.
Misala Rezeny has been offered the job of her life — a position in New York City that she worked fifteen years to reach. It’s not a decision she made lightly. She cried over it for weeks.
But New York is a different world from Los Angeles. A small apartment on the 11th floor. No yard. No space. A building with strict no-pet policies that she has no power to change.
She called every shelter. She contacted every rescue. She posted everywhere.
And then she found us.
When we met Hali Coo, he ran to the door, tail going in every direction, tongue out, eyes bright — completely unaware that his whole world was about to change.
That smile broke our hearts a little.
Because he doesn’t know yet. He just knows that right now, someone is here. And that’s enough for him.
→ Share this post — his family is probably already in your network. They just haven’t seen this yet. → Sponsor his food while he waits — $1 a day keeps him fed and comfortable → Foster him temporarily — give him a stable home while we find his forever family
🧡 “He’s going to walk into someone’s home one day and act like he’s always lived there. That’s who he is. He just needs someone to open the door.”
Misala leaves for New York next month. We promised her Hali Coo would have a home before she goes.
Help us keep that promise.
